The Micro Finance Institutions Network (MFIN), an Indian association that comprises 48 of the leading Non Banking Financial Company – Microfinance Institutions (NBFC-MFI), has developed a mobile financial literacy app called “MFIN Connect”. The multilingual app provides education, in their local language, on the use of digital identities, microfinance, and responsible use of credit. For example, MFIN Connect educates clients from underserved communities about how to access loans and avoid the risk of over indebtedness that can result from informal and unsecure borrowing.MFIN has launched the app for Android devices and it will support Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil and English. The app has different literacy modules with audio-visual elements for easy understanding and is designed to work in even low connectivity areas. You can download the app on Google Play Store.
