He has worked throughout Western and Central Africa over the last 16 years advising MFIs on strategic development and operational planning, training, and social performance management &amp; assessment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Gilles previously held the position of Chief of Operations &amp; Programs, as well as Coordinator of Social Performance Management and Financial Education at the Benin Professional Microfinance Network (Consortium Alafia), where he coordinated the establishment of an MFI rating mechanism as part of the \u201cCompetition for Exellence\u201d among microfinance institutions in Benin.
