Gilles brings to Inclusion [Social Ratings] his extensive experience in microfinance advisory and capacity-building. A national of Benin, he has worked throughout Western Africa over the last 12 years advising MFIs on strategic development and operational planning, training, and social performance management & assessment.

Gilles holds a Master’s degree in Management of Economic Policy, (a Joint-Program of Cocody University in Abidjan, in partnership with the World Bank and the African Capacity Building Foundation), as well as a Master’s in Management and Technical Banking.

Gilles previously held the position of Chief of Operations & Programs, as well as Coordinator of Social Performance Management and Financial Education at the Benin Professional Microfinance Network (Consortium Alafia), where he coordinated the establishment of an MFI rating mechanism as part of the “Competition for Exellence” among microfinance institutions in Benin. He is also a Certified Lead Assessor on Client Protection Principles (SMART Campaign).
